Position title
Operations Manager - Louisville, KY
Description

Exciting Opportunity!  We have an immediate opening an Operations Manager for one of our client’s top operations - Louisville, KY!

Our client is a National, $300M+ Specialty Chemicals Manufacturer who is looking to immediately hire a dynamic, dependable, “get in the trenches” Operations Manager to assist in the leadership of one of the Top locations in the company (Louisville, KY).  As a leader in the chemical manufacturing industry for over 30 years, my client prides itself in its people, services and environmentally friendly products. Through their unique chemical management system, they provide Industrial clients and facilities with a green, turn-key alternative for all their chemical needs.   These include Oil & Gas Refineries and services companies, Food Production facilities, Manufacturing Facilities, Pulp & Paper Mills, Breweries & more.

My client has low turnover and a culture that is positive with a collaborative team oriented approach to supporting customers.  They provide a balanced life style and encourage employees’ family time.  Good health habits are also important, and they provide a competitive benefit package along with a strong base salary.

The Louisville operation ranks #16 (out of 73) but has one of the least number of employees.  It has also gone without strong leadership for quite some time so there may be some tough decisions (hiring & possibly letting go) that will need to be made.  However, being able to integrate and impact an operation with some long term employees will be essential.  Tenure in this group can be anywhere from five to twenty years.

Additionally the Operations Manager will ideally be a dynamic leader with a unique blend of Logistics, Warehousing and Manufacturing background. You will be a person who takes pride in the job that you do and the facility that you run but is not a drill sergeant.  You will be mechanically inclined and able to hop in a service van if needed to go on a customer call to repair a pump or tank; holding or obtaining a CDL B will be a plus.  You are someone who is very street smart and not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. You will display a relentless positive and "can-do" attitude that is unfazed by the daily challenges of the job. You will demonstrate your creative problem-solving sense through the daily solutions you provide to both team members and customers alike. You will be a leader who facilitates outstanding performance from your team by "getting in the trenches" with them but also through implementing processes that work even when you're not there. You will be an outgoing person with the ability to provide outstanding customer service during interactions with customers. The primary attribute we are looking for is a relentless positive attitude with the street smarts to solve problems under very little supervision. This is a very rewarding leadership role as it provides the opportunity to meaningfully impact a large and growing business with a family oriented culture.
